Microblading, also known as "feathering" is a manual, semi-permanent procedure that deposits pigment into the first few layers of the skin. The strokes are designed to result in natural defined brows.
Good candidates for this procedure are those with thin brows, hair loss, lack of shape or fullness, presence of scars, and alopecia. If you want to add more fullness, correct the shape of symmetry of your brows, or you just want to stop applying eyebrow make-up each day to achieve your desired look, this is a great procedure for you!
This procedure is semi-permanent. The pigment is deposited into the first few layers of the skin. What does this mean for you? The pigment will fade over time, however it can last up to 1 year depending on skin type, after care, cosmetics used and sun exposure. The look will last as long as you desire with regular touch-ups/colour boosts. Usually a touch-up is required each year to keep your brows looking great.
As the skin heals, after the procedure, the strokes will initially look darker but will become softer and less defined. This will result in a natural hair-like stroke finish.
Treatment Process
The microblading procedure takes approximately 2-2.5 hours to complete.
- 30 minutes will be spent with you measuring and designing your brows to ensure you receive the exact look you are hoping for. We do not remove any hair that is within the brow design. We want you to retain as much of your natural brow as you can.
- A topical numbing agent will be applied and requires 30 minutes to process to ensure that the procedure is as comfortable as possible. During this time we will go over all required aftercare to achieve optimal results.
- Finally, the microblading procedure can take anywhere from 60-90 minutes.
